first_imgThe Scotland manager praised the impact Brown has had on his own career over the past decade, commenting: “He’s made my life more enjoyable, that’s for sure and more interesting on many occasions. “Scottish football would be a duller place without Scott Brown.“I can see his influence on the younger players now which is terrific.” Scott Brown says Scotland manager Gordon Strachan understands the game better than anyone he has ever worked with.The midfielder will collect his 50th international cap in Tuesday’s international friendly against Denmark on Tuesday, putting him in esteemed company who have also reached such a milestone.Brown highlighted the influence Strachan has had on his career, from signing him whilst at Celtic to naming him as Scotland captain.“He’s put a lot of faith in me and I have a lot to thank him for over my career, from signing me to making me the player I am,” Brown said. “He’s had a huge influence. His training methods and the way he understands the game, it’s not that you play the same way week in and week out, you’ve got to realise who you are playing against. “He shapes up different ways to try and get us on the ball and make us a better team, depending on what formation they’re playing he’ll change things. “That’s the kind of manager he is, he looks into detail at other teams. “That’s what makes him the man he is and he understands the game way more than anyone else I’ve ever worked with.”last_img
